Orchidaceae (Orchid Family)
Orchidaceae is the largest plant family on earth, with over 28,000 species. As houseplants, the most popular are Phalaenopsis (Moth Orchid), Dendrobium, Cymbidium, and Oncidium. Orchids have a reputation for being difficult, but most popular houseplant orchids — especially Phalaenopsis — are actually low-maintenance and can bloom for months with minimal intervention.
